Test pilot Clara pauses for any last-minute instructions before checking out an early Wodent Wheel.

Very British rats Pretty (lower) and Bonnie (upper) Elsdon investigate unknown contraption from the colonies...

While not exactly rats running in a wheel, this surrealistic adaptation of the time-honored Hollywood Squares/Brady Bunch motif does contain a lot of nice rat faces (Pretty and Bonnie Elsdon)...

The Christianson twins do their famous "mirror-image" routine.
Cricket Cutright runs ALL night long - and sleeps in her wheel during the day. Your basic 24/7 wheel-rat.

Baby Foil Clay (a Rex Agouti hooded) already knows that a careful pilot gives his craft a good sniffing before committing.
"I'm (huff) going to get to the top of this friggin' thing (huff, huff)..."

Tipper Parson (a bed-top rattie) stands guard while letting Buttons get a rare chance to actually use the wheel.

Tara and Tori Silver used to enjoy jamming everything that wasn't nailed down into their wheel. Now that it's been suspended from their ceiling, they've discovered that it's also good for running.
Tara enjoys some alone-time in her wheel.

You said, "Let's give the kids a wheel lesson." I said, "Let's wait a couple weeks." You said, "It'll be fine." Now, just look at this! It's... it's... it's a rat's nest is what it is!

Peaches and Rosie Hamilton are Canadian ratties. Peaches is the dumbo-eared cutie, Rosie is one of the Heber Downs Rescue rats.
Their (very patient) owner has provided some excellent action videos.

The Mesker girls try to answer that age-old question: "How many rats can fit in a Wodent Wheel?" That's Patch on top, Pixie on the right, Fat Pearl's rear hanging out the bottom and Tipper on the left.

After a hard day of running (pretty darn near light speed), Sam, Lucy and Ramona take a well-deserved break. That's Sam's head, Lucy's feet, and Ramona in the background jumble.
Gemma is sometimes picked on by her sisters, but strangely enough the wheel seems to give her more self confidence. After a session in the wheel she will come rushing out and proceed to climb all over the walls and ceiling of the cage in a burst of exuberance, as though the wheel has given her some kind of power rush.

Ian Cox has a look of grim determination while checking out his brand-new toy...
...but you can see he's really a cutie.

TR Gracie, TR Penny and Daisy Clarke have selected the multi-purpose option: exercise room, lunch room and bedroom. (Well, why the heck not?)

Juliet Smith practically lives in her wheel. (Sorry, Romeo.)
"Somebody called?"

Not unlike having a new car in the driveway...
Pye Ruud and "The Rat With No Name" actually get a chance to take it out for a spin.

Kashmyr Drolet, a handsome 2-year-old male rattie, looks up with obvious love in his eyes...

"Baby Girl" doesn't even have her name yet - but, gosh darn it, she's got her wheel and a spiffy apartment! (First things first.)

The McKee/Buck girls, Starsha, Astra, and Trelaina, "just hanging out" between romps.
The dream condo that all ratties deserve!

Bea in the wheel, doing the Daytona 2000, and Yzma patiently waiting her turn.

If Tom Arney goes any faster, he'll lift off.
Pause for a little taste-test...

With the whole yard to play in, Bling-Bling Knouse decides to take refuge during cage-cleaning day. It's taken a couple years, but he's finally managed to get those entry holes to look "just like the ones on tv..."

Preacher and Bandit Knouse are a little concerned that their front doors are open. Preacher's not much of a runner, but Bandit (eyeing the wheel) runs like, well, a bandit.

April and Boots Sturtman share a ride.
Boots drops off April and takes Josh for the return trip...

Cinnabar and Scatter Rolfe share a ride. Scatter is the little black head peeking out. Proud mom says, "Only 15 days old and he can already solo on a Senior!"

Adonis, Hades, and Isis chillin' in their "Wheel o' Rats" Wodent wheel.

British ratties Hagrid (left) and Dumbledore Langdon (right) can still put the miles on great-grandpa's ol' runabout.

Templeton (the one with the scary "laser eyes") has managed to convince his shy friend Buddy that weird contraptions can be fun.

This is good ol' Hutch, who certainly knows how to enjoy a wheel - and it doesn't involve "running in circles like a dang fool."

This is Sticky (not "Stinky" if you please) going full-bore. The insert shows Sticky (and her buddy Lucy peeking around the edge) in a more sedate pose.

Two good buds out for a spin - Dall on the left and Saori on the right.
